I see four teams contending for this year's title. In no particular order:
1.) Arellano; All the crucial pieces are still there. Holts, Jalalon, Salado and company can win it all this year. Although they lost Keith Agovida, I believe this team is the team to beat this year
2.) Perpetual Help: They lost Thompson to graduation but they still have Bright Akhuetie. The question is, will the local step up to help Bright bring Perpetual to the promise land?
3.) San Beda: Lost most of their key players like Baser Amer, Arth Dela Cruz and Ryusei Koga. Their bench is still deep though with the addition of Bolick & Potts plus the good ol' reliables Mocon, Sara and Tongco
4. ) Mapua: They have arguably the best center in the land, Allwell Oraeme. CJ Isit is also returning as well as a few other recruits of Atoy Co. Oraeme is just a force to be reckon with on the boards and with the departure of Adeogun, he can wreck havoc on the inside.
Dark Horses: Letran: One can never underestimate this team. They won it all last year and no one even expected them to reach the Final 4. Although without Racal and Cruz, the likes of Nambatac, Luib, Quinto and Sollano needs to step up if they want to protect the crown
LPU: If only their foreign student did not leave for the US D-League, this team can surely contend for the crown. They have a good, solid line-up spearheaded by Joseph Gabayni and their other reinforcement Jean Nguidjol.
