Easy to digest metal bands for non-metal fans:
Eluveitie - Everything Remains As It Never Was is a good album to start with.  Thousandfold is awesome and the girlfriend who was never a metal fan loves Isara. Ghost - This Swedish band's gimmick is sick. They have a vocalist dressed as a Satanic Pope and all instrumentalists are hooded men called Nameless Ghouls. Nirvana and Foo Fighters' Dave Grohl helped produce If You Have Ghost (EP) and once secretly performed as a ghoul. Insomnium - Melt your ears with Through The Shadows' intro and sing along with the chorus if you're ever feeling down. Mastodon - Their latest release, Emperor of Sand, deals with the band's experiences about loved ones batting against and losing to cancer, something that all of us will face at some point. A goldmine of riffs. And all members sing. The drummer hits the highest notes while dropping insane fills. Nightwish - Finland's 3rd best selling musical performers play symphonic metal. Nuff said. Cradle of Filth - One of the cutest chinitas I dated loved Nymphetamine. Their version of Iron Maiden's Hallowed Be Thy Name defined my teenage years. Faves:
Behemoth - Hated by their own country but loved by music critics. Their drummer plays 290bpm live. They also tend to sound better live. Gorgoroth - Members of this band have been jailed on multiple occasions. Doesn't change the fact that they make some of the best black metal riffs. Immolation - A friend once said A Glorious Epoch Scion is the perfect definition of death metal. Couldn't agree more. Cynic - Their 1993 album, Focus, was way ahead of it's time. A very unique blend of jazz, prog and technicality. How Could I is a contender for having one of the best solos regardless of the genre. Decapitated - Spheres Of Madness may just be the grooviest song to ever fall under the technical death metal genre. Never met anyone who hated this song. Carach Angren - The Carriage Wheel Murder and And the Consequence Macabre offers fresh takes on symphonic black metal. Think operatic horror storytelling. Woods of Ypres - Kiss My Ashes (Goodbye) will be my funeral song. Local: Infernal Eden, Sin, Pentavia, Sacrilegion, Hampaslupa, Mortal Fear, Human Mastication

PWG is currently having it's premiere event (2/3 days done, September 1-3), Battle of Los Angeles, so expect to hear new MoTY contenders later this week.

i also liked the dragon pit scene, and seeing cersei's unamused face upon witnessing those dragons while we saw a somewhat scared face when the wight approached her. for me, cersei stole the thunder from the night king as the biggest villain of the show come season 8. she just betrayed the north and jamie by taking back her word of them helping in fighting the white walkers (she got me fooled on that one too), and even attempting on killing jamie. tyrion's look upon seeing jon snow enter dany's chambers is a weird one. i'm not sure if he's jealous or he's concerned that they're getting at it. i think dany will be pregnant at the start of season 8

Spoiler Alert for the late viewers then (just to be on the safe side)
For me the Aegon bit was the least interesting - the show's just confirming what has been speculated to death for years now. I'm sure it would be a big sticking point in season 8 but with all the stuff crammed into this episode, it's in the lower rung. The Littlefinger death was "spoiled" to me a week or two  ago on another forum because of the damn leak. It wasn't that surprising (whatever political machinations Littlefinger has in store is kinda worthless now at the face of the undead army marching down to the north so yeah he kinda has to go) but I could've been spared the details.
The meeting in the Dragon Pit and the aftermath and the implications going into the last season was the highlight for me. The Tyrion/Bronn reunion and Varys' reaction in the background. The callback to Pod's apparently amazing...uhhh...manhood. The suspicious look on Jon's face when Bronn went for a drink with Pod - not a lot of people in that meeting know the two's history. Cleganebowl is still a thing unless the showrunners have a different thing in mind. One small touch that I like - the Dothraki entourage are wearing pieces of Lannister armor. Their spoils of war a few episodes ago. Cersei crapping her pants when the wight was inches away from her and Jaime's face when Dany tells him the undead army is about a hundred thousand strong at the very least. I think Qyburn got a stiffy when he took the severed arm. Cersei and Tyrion's scene was also great. Theon finding his balls.
The last scene was also spoiled to me by some asshat a few days ago. Fortunately seeing it in action was way better. It reminded me of the Wrath of the Lich King trailer.

Did some digging.

Canadian winters are -15 degrees Celcius on average but can drop to -40 or lower.
Kilimanjaro at the base ranges from 21-27 degrees Celcius decreasing to -7 to -29 at the top at night. It can be unpredictable at times. 
Hof also climbed Everest but failed to reach the summit. He stopped at 6.7 km, peak is at 8.84 km, due to a foot injury. The base starts at 1 degree Celcius and can drop up to -67.

Regarding Gendry, The Raven, and the timing of it all, it makes sense. I'm going to assume since they were looking for a lone White that they were not going in a straight line from East watch, they were probably going back and forth in a zigzag (rip rickon) so Gendry running at full speed back to the wall, let's say that took about 4 hours. The trip from Castle black to Winterfell is about 600 miles (a little farther from East watch), a raven going full speed (28mph) could probably make that trip in a little over a day. From Winterfell to King's Landing is about A Thousand Miles according to Cersei in S5E6, so it would be about the same maybe a little more from Winterfell to Dragonstone. So let's say it takes the raven 4 days to get to Dragonstone. Dragons on the other hand, I couldn't find much info about how fast they can go. So for the sake of argument let's say they top out with a rider at about 175 mph. So that's about a 12-hour flight straight to Snow Team 6. So the overall time it takes Danny to get to Jon, is about 5 days. This makes sense considering that they had to wait for the ice to freeze over the lake again. Considering that the ice had to support a huge hoard of wights, the ice would have to be around 8 inches thick. Assuming an average temperature of 10 °F (they're not that far north) the ice would be growing at 1.5 inches per day. This works out to 7.5 inches of ice. Guys, the math works out.

Why don't we give Medical Cannabis a chance? It has done wonders to many patients, it can do more to people in the Philippines. From pain alleviation to stopping seizures, relieving anxiety, regulating the mood, and even killing cancer cells, this can provide hope to many patients. It should be given as alternative treatment to those who do no want conventional medicine. So why are many doctors opposing the legalization of Medical Cannabis? Who are they serving? Is it the patient or the multi billion dollar Pharma industry?
