FREEFORM Marvel's Cloak and Dagger

Marvel’s Cloak & Dagger follows the interracial romance between Tandy Bowen (Holt) and Tyrone Johnson (Joseph), who come from starkly different backgrounds, each growing up with a secret they never dared share with another soul. Tandy can emit light daggers and Tyrone has the ability to engulf others in darkness. They quickly learn they are better together than apart — but their feelings for each other make their already complicated world even more challenging.

Olivia Holt and Aubrey Joseph have been officially cast in the star roles of Freeform's CLOAK AND DAGGER series.

It will premiere in Winter 2018. Another addition to the MCU! <3 Who's excited for this one?

My gripe is that Runaways is in Hulu and this is in Freeform so crossover while not entirely impossible (as both are Disney-owned) might not be in the table anytime soon. Another concern is since this is going to be in Freeform, expect na this wouldn't have too much mature themes since the channel is skewing towards teens to young adults. Think CW rather than Netflix and Cloak & Dagger have a lot of mature stories tackling social issues like homelessness, drug addiction, prostitution, and crime in their old books.

Other than, I hope this is a good show.

This show on Freeform is a little disappointing, but I understand not all Marvel shows can be on Netflix. I'm willing to give this a chance, as I am not too familiar with Cloak & Dagger in the comics. Since this is coming out in 2018, they have plenty of time to work on the special effects.
