Ajax
I know seperate and iba un platform ng site natin, which is forums and threads pero un article dinadamay lahat ng ganun ang kalakaran na share share ng pictures and other items. Also, napansin ko ang daming nagmamalinis at nakikialam. Anong masasabi nyo about dito? Do you think if they crack down on this e maapektuhan un site natin? This_Is_The_End
I read the article. I can see where the author is coming from and he did made some good points. I agree that Facebook has a responsibility to it's users to enforce a safe space especially against revenge porn, harassment, bullying and easy access sa mga mature-related contents. I agree because Facebook is Facebook. Now if I go to Pornhub and I get offended from all the porn, then I'm just an idiot. Same with APS. How many steps bago maging available ang mature-related contents? It's protected content. If you get access to it, you know what you are doing because you worked for it and even if you do have access to it, there are also PG-rated, general stuff here if that's your deal. You really can't blame anyone. If minors are accessing this forum, anong ginagawa ng mga magulang nila? Hind ba responsibilidad ng mga magulang to monitor their children's internet activities? As far as I can tell the pictures posted here are from publicly accessible content like images from various social media platforms or magazines - neither source would count as revenge porn, scandals, or taken without the consent of the women. The freakin' forum rules is on the top most part of the subs. The stuff the author is against is also bawal dito. Rule no. 7 covers that comprehensively. Problem is mainstream media is fond of sensationalism and I fear the eventual witch hunt is just on the horizon. I doubt the people that will take action would take the time to learn the nuances as it take less effort to just lump everyone and be done with it. It's typical slacktivism. I mean, per @Ajax, they're calling it "Pastor culture" already. RTZ, Miggy, repapips9 and 3 others
iggyb
Agreeing with @This_Is_The_End that this issue is just a product of sensationalism. /r/philippines on reddit are even on this reporting multiple pages they find. FB has over 2 billion users, di nila mamomonitor ang bawat isa. But where was everyone when Daisy Destruction came up? Why no mention about PH being one of the worst places in the dark web? Most Filipinos just join the mob when they know their target is already down.
Ajax
That is the case, mob justice and some of those I saw responding na mga lalake e mga parang nagmamalinis... And that is what I hate the most, un pagiging self-righteous which us pinoys are probably most of the time guilty of.
PuffPuffPass
Some "pastor" groups are not available publicly. Meaning they are a secret group where members are "screened" first before they are admitted to the group where they share mature content na sila sila lang din ang nakakakita. However, some groups that are adapting the name "pastor" are open publicly where anyone can view the content posted thereon. On a side note, I think that FB has a sort of screening process on what contents are allowed to be posted. Kagaya ng pinugutan ng ulo or maybe animal porn or child porn? Although may nabalita ako na may nag post ng actualy live killing through FB live stream but that was deleted immediately. So I think that FB does have a sort of censorship.

roboratzinger
If that is the case kasi then it's a big No-no na talaga but then again "predators" are everywhere nowadays. Remenisce Lea
This_Is_The_End
FB have started using AI to help with content moderation. They have been in hot water for quite sometime with extremists using FB (among other social networks) as a recruitment tool, the increase of fake news in the platform, as well as several high profile incidents such as streaming murder and a cop shooting in Facebook Live. I assume it works something like YouTube's algorithm and checks certain things in the metadata in it's moderating decision. They haven't gone away with actual people though. The AI is just another layer of security. In fact, they added staff recently in response to pressure coming from the German government. I don't think this would affect APS because APS is not Facebook. Hindi naman kasi ganon din kasikat yung APS as compared to FB. Besides, FB is a social media site whereas APS is just another website. There are other forums available on the net in which the Philippines cannot exercise jurisdiction. Or use cloud storage, MF sites, etc.
This_Is_The_End
I hear you bossing pero I'd imagine it would just take one disgruntled member posting the URL to the right (wrong) group of people, make up some story, and we'd get unwanted attention. Hindi man umabot sa shutdown, it could be an inconvenience. I'm not after the files and there are tons of other forums out there, sure, but I've invested my time here already.
