Speaking of Okada, Seth Rollins used a different finisher against Owens in a dark match before Raw's actual broadcast. The setup looked like Okada's Rainmaker but instead of a clothesline, it's a jumping knee. I guess we'll have to wait and see if he'll start using it on television. It kinda makes sense since he's using his right knee instead of his twice-injured left with this one instead of dropping both when doing the Pedigree.

Parang combination nga sya ng Okada Rainmaker tsaka ng V-Trigger ni Kenny Omega. Natawa nga ako sa comment ng iba baka raw "Borken Knees" ang ipangalan ng WWE sa move na yan. Hahahaha:evil1:

Oo nga pala V-Trigger ni Kenny Omega. The guy's such a videogame fan as that name comes from a Street Fighter V mechanic.

Going back to the Okada/Shibata match, na injury daw si Shibata suffering a subdural hematoma from the headbutt move he often does recently. He underwent surgery to correct the issue per NJPW. Here's the weird part, according to Meltzer, the wrestling company is using the injury to cover-up another issue. Meltzer added that this might actually be a work. If it's a complete work, that's awfully specific and in poor taste. Subdural hematoma is serious business and not something you talk lightly about. Maybe he really got injured and NJPW took the opportunity to take the light away from another issue concerning Shibata.

What the other issue is...I have no idea, my ninja Google skills have failed me. However, per redditors, this might have had something to do with Shibata being caught having an affair so the injury is to give him some time off. It's all speculation really.

The injury seems legit and word is Shibata may never wrestle again. Yung affair matagal ng issue. Ospreay used the angle when he feuded with Shibata earlier this year when Shibata was still Rev Pro champ. Ospreay was super obnoxious in twitter. I loved it. Haha! Meltzer doesn't have enough connections in Japan like he has in North America so we can't really trust his word when it comes to NJPW.

That's exactly the thing. That's the thing that makes this news weird. There are blanks in the story and people will make connections where there is none to make sense of it. Even the most tenuous connection. In fairness to Meltzer he did say in the most current issue of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that even with three sources there, he wasn't able to suss out what's really happening. Basically he knew something was up via his contacts and the injury appears to be real but there are also evidence that this might be a work. What those evidences are, I don't know, I'm going by with bits and pieces of information from podcasts and websites. I think we'll know eventually if Shibata do retire.

NXT SPOILER!!!

Spoiler

Candice LeRae debuts! I've been waiting for this for a long time. :D

She'll appear on the May 17 episode of NXT competing in a Battle Royal to determine Asuka's next contender.

If you're not familiar with her, check her tag match with Joey Ryan (as the World's Cutest Tag Team) against The Young Bucks.

Here's a picture after the match.

And here's a more flattering picture to balance things out. :D

It was a solid ppv (and I dare to say the best RAW-exclusive ppv since the brand split). Best match of the night (in terms of in-ring action) should go to Aries vs Neville 2. Great cheap finish to keep the rivalry that made us care about the Cruiserweight Division again. Surprisingly the creative team of RAW made the right decision and let BRAUUUUNNN do his thing (that is beat the crap out of Roman Reigns). Maybe if there is the a weak spot in this ppv it should be The House of Horror match. It felt like a rush work and from being a match for the WWE Championship into a non-title match it just doesn't make sense. And by the way, Jeff Hardy's smile is now "BROKEN" courtesy of Sheamus :evil1:

They'll push him but not too far. He's supposed to face Brock at *ehem* Great Balls of Fire *ehem*. Word is their match may be moved to Summerslam. Don't get your hopes up too high. He'll just be fodder to Roman setting up Reigns v Lesnar II at WM34. At least there's excitement on knowing Brock's opponent for GBoF since everything's in shambles right now. Balor maybe? Rollins? AMBROSE?!?!?

Whoop whoop! Too sweet! Scurll's also the representative for Bullet Club in NJPW's Best of Super Juniors this year. It starts on Wednesday with Scurll vs Ospreay and freaking Dragon Lee vs Hiromu Takahashi who had a match earlier this year that almost ended in double homicide. Also excited for Scurll vs Takahashi and Ricochet vs Ospreay (again!), but pretty much all matches, specially block A, will be awesome.

As for Adam Cole (BAYBAY!)? Let's just say a certain YELLOW BRAND with belts laced with gold Xs is waiting for him.

Adam Cole is heading to NXT? I know medyo late pero I just watched highlights ng match ni Okada vs K Omega sa WrestleKingdom 11. Salamat for opening my eyes more than what WWE & NXT is offering. Ibang iba yung match andun lahat.. storytelling within a match, amazing pacing on both wrestlers may mga big spots rin at yung hype at build up talagang sulit. Just continue the graet wrestling convo's here. :iloveaps:

Here's the double homicide match that I mentioned. Free to watch until June 7.

With english commentary here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RKgs-rNsRS4

I prefer watching matches with Japanese commentators kahit di ko maintindihan. Mas energetic kasi silang pakinggan.

Ospreay vs Ricochet from last year was also posted kani-kanina lang. Free to watch til June 14.
