I7 4930k

GTX 970 MSI

Asus x79 Deluxe Motherboard

OS: WIndows 10

Worth it ba ung GTX 980 ti? Mahal pa kasi at bihira lang nag bebenta sa Pinas.

Are you planning on gaming with resolutions higher than 1080p? Anyway at this point, I think hold on to that 970 as for the most part it still has the best performance to cost ratio. Pascal is scheduled to come out later this year and supposedly a whole lot better than the Maxwell line. Just Google it for further information although as of right now it's hard to look past the marketing speak.

The rumored Pascal line is X80, X80TI, and X80 Titan then X70 will follow later. May kumakalat na specs na pero medyo dubious 'yung source. I hate Nvidia as a corporation, their Gameworks hobble games most of the time. You can't trust their marketing - remember the whole GTX 970 3.5 VRAM fiasco or how they help support a lie by showing Batman Arkham Knight running at 60 FPS when the game shipped at 30 FPS as they just sped up the video? Their drivers are wonky at times and the recent one was recalled because it caused several serious display issues. Pero between Nvidia and AMD, support seems to still be a lot better with the former when it comes to games as AMD seems to always get the short end of the stick so I guess I'll still choose the devil I know :|

Can't wait for Vulkan to be widely supported. DX12 was supposed to be a lot more efficient than DX11 but the DX12 games coming out right now are all system hogs.

Here are a few articles regarding AMD's Ryzen vs. Intel's Kaby Lake. Granted we have yet to see Ryzen in the wild so we'll know for sure as early as next week how it would fare in real world application.

Nagtingin ako sa price list ng PCHub, puro 1080 TI ang available. May price drop nga sa 1080, wala naman sa list na nila lel

What I have is a Zotac GTX 1080 mini. It was priced at around Php 26,000+ a few months ago which is near the price of a high end GTX 1070. Not bad considering its bulkier peers were still around the 30K+ at that time. One caveat is that this runs technically at reference speed but for 1080p/1440p gaming and even selective 4K, it does the job quite well..

I bought my GTX 1070 nung december 25k. Nice steal @This_Is_The_End

Nasaan ka nung kailangan kita? lel

Kidding aside, yeah, I was really looking for a 1070 since my display's native resolution is 1080p and I just use downsampling if I want higher resolution from the Nvidia Control Panel (not a perfect solution but I don't use it often anyway) pero I saw the price for that particular 1080 and to think I would just add less than 2k at that time (I think the 1070 was a Strix one), I grabbed it immediately. I know it's kinda overkill to get a 1080 kung 1080p gaming lang rin.
